KAPO
Trevor Gregg bka Brother GRIMMZ KAPO was born in Orange County, NC on March 6th, 1992. BGK has resided in Roxboro, NC most of his life. BGK has always had a love and passion for music but in the 9th grade at Person High School, he began to write poetry and R&B songs. Although he could not sing, he has always had an ear for it.
Brother GRIMMZ KAPO gave away countless poems and songs to a number of female students and a few teachers as well. Senior year, 2010, freestyling had became the new wave and with his poetic background, he felt it would be easy to freestyle. Let's just say he was wrong, he began to write down his lyrics and still continued to master freestyling.
In 2010, he performed for the very first time, in his own hometown at The Kirby Theater, with Rooted From the Soul at the Diamonds in the Rough Showcase. Years past, BGK trying to balance working and doing his newfound passion, RFTSpresented The Roxanne Shante Contest, also at The Kirby Theatre, in 2015 which he performed as well.
Later on in August of 2015, BGK performed with RFTS once again at the ATL to the BullCity Event at DaNuGen in Durham, NC. Since then BGK has performed at many different venues such as Social Games and Brews and Skewers of Durham, NC, Club Reign, Caza Nightclub, and Imurj of Raleigh, NC, and The Evening Muse of Charlotte, NC.
In 2016, with Mecca Audio South Entertainment in accordance with Mecca Audio Entertainment of NY, BGK performed at historical venues such as Gauchos Gym for a Celebrity Basketball Game in the Bronx and Rucker Park as entertainment for the Entertainers Basketball Classic (EBC), alongside with The Voice of Harlem, in Harlem, NY. BGK is currently working on his debut album and working with other Emcees and producers from his hometown and surrounding cities.
