His latest venture is Urban Books Media, a production company that is turning several of his novels into films. The first two projects, The Man in 3B and The Preacher's Son are available now on Netflix. His television series, The Family Business, aired its first season on BET+ in 2018. The second season in 2020.
He is the Publisher and Editorial Director of Urban Books and CEO of Urban Books Media, which is currently producing films based on several of his bestselling novels.
In 2005, he was named Blackboard’s Publisher of the Year. He is the owner of the Urban Knowledge chain of book stores and a past recipient of Blackboard’s Bookseller of the Year award.
Weber graduated from Virginia State University and holds an MBA in marketing from the University of Virginia. He lives in Long Island, New York with his family.
